Literatur in den Sprachen Berlins

I am delighted to share that I have been selected as one of the twelve recipients of the 2026 Berlin Senate Literary Fellowship for authors writing in languages other than German.

On June 19, 2026, I will present my work at the renowned Literary Colloquium Berlin (LCB) as part of Literature in the Languages of Berlin 2026, a literary event celebrating the multilingual voices that shape Berlin's contemporary cultural landscape.

The fellowship recognizes authors contributing to Berlin's rich literary diversity and was awarded to twelve writers chosen from more than 200 applicants. This year's selected authors represent a wide range of linguistic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting Berlin's role as a city of translation, artistic exchange, and international literature.

As an Italian author and illustrator based in Berlin, I am honored to be included among this year's fellows. During the event, excerpts from the selected works will be presented, accompanied by introductions from members of the jury and discussions in both German and English.

The event will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Literary Colloquium Berlin, located on the shores of Lake Wannsee.

I look forward to sharing my work and celebrating the multilingual literary community that continues to make Berlin such an inspiring place for writers and artists from around the world.
